You can change the world with UX/UI Design. Positively as well as negatively.
We design thousands of websites, apps, and other digital products a year. And what do we get? Slow-loading websites that can’t be opened during train rides. Frustrating online stores where it’s hard to find sustainable products. Emails that clutter our user’s inboxes with hundreds of attachments and images.
Yep, it’s true that the web has a carbon footprint. And that as a UX/UI Designer you can ensure sustainable consumption, mental health, accessibility and a lot more alongside lightweight websites. Much of it with a flyswatter.
Become a highly skilled designer who creates environmentally-friendly websites and apps without sacrificing your creativity
You’ve read hundreds of blog posts and listened to a bunch of podcasts about green web design.
And while you understand the importance of a more sustainable internet, now you want to know HOW to be a part of it. You find yourself wondering:
I feel you. I see you.
These are all questions that I can answer. Because I asked them myself over and over again.
Chic, sexy and highly converting UX/UI Design
Your designs can be anything. Loud. Quiet. Colorful. Relaxed. Romantic. Bubbly. Elegant. Warm-hearted. Serious. Modern. And everything else you want it to be.
Let’s get rid of the mindset of “I can’t do anything cool and modern anymore if it’s going to be environmentally sustainable.” That’s not true. We’re just using slightly different stylistic approaches. For usability, branding and our environment.
With green design, your digital product turns into a super fast oiled machine with an increase in SEO ranking, customers and conversions. How? Because it’s lightweight, more enjoyable for users and attracts the new era of conscious buyers and consumers.
The modules of the course
The Green UX/UI Design course comes with a 100% learning by doing approach. Step by step along the design process. With a real or hypothetical project of your choice. It can be a website, an online shop, a mobile or a desktop application.

Before we get into ecological sustainability, we need to know where we‘re at with the users, the project and the company behind it all. Because all of them still matter very much. It’s also the perfect time to find out the user’s, team’s and business’s take on sustainability.

User Journey Maps depict an entire process that a hypothetical user can go through. From the information, to the booking, to the purchase process. This mapping goes far beyond a single product or service. It also considers everything that lies outside of single touchpoints (such as a website).
Sustainability infused User Journey Maps additionally look at the ecological impact of each step. It adds extra lanes that give us a great reminder to search for problems and opportunities in the fields of sustainability.
- Set up the map
- Fill out the map
- Use the findings for your design
- Host Sustainability infused User Journey Map workshops yourself

What people are saying about the course
Hi, I’m Sandy
I love this topic! When I heard about green design for the first time I immediately fell in love with it. I’ve worked with big companies like Adobe, Vodafone and more. But this topic finally drew me under its spell.
12 years in UX/UI and 6 years in ecologically and socially sustainable design have given me many insights into the design business. This course would be the fast lane for you.
What it allowed me to do? To work with clients I truly admire, such as Petricore as a sustainable hosting provider, to Zero Waste body care, to couples therapy, to women’s health, to many more. Websites, online shops, complex applications, landing pages, name it. All with the feeling of finally following a purpose. Bringing true value to the field.
As designers, we have a responsibility. Our websites shape society. They frustrate or inspire. They have an impact on our planet. And it is this responsibility that I would like to use wisely. With you. Towards Environment Centered Design.
